"SOS" STRAWBERRY ON THE SHORTCAKE




STRAWBERRY CAKE yang menggugah selera, yummy...... siapa yang ga ngiler Setiap lewat di depan etalase toko kue yg memajan STRAWBERRY ON THE SHORTCAKE ? pasti air liur langsung menetes,

tampilan kue yg menggugah selera ini selalu mengundang liur para penggemar kue,

bagi yg sedang program melangsingkan badan sebaiknya menutup mata saat melewati toko kue.

nih ada contoh resep yg bisa dicoba bagi yg mau coba membuat SOS sendiri......

Ingrediens

Strawberry and Lemon Shortcake Cake

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (750 mL)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder (25 mL)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (1 mL)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1 mL)
  • 1 cup butter, softened (250 mL)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar (500 mL)
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk (300 mL)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (5 mL)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest (25 mL)
  • 2 cups lemon curd (recipe to follow) (500 mL)
  • Whipped Cream Filling
  • 2 cups 35% cream (500 mL)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (5 mL)
  • 4 cups strawberries (1000 mL)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (50 mL)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (25 mL)
  • Mint sprigs and icing sugar for garnish
  • Directions
  • Strawberry and Lemon Shortcake Cake

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C)

2. Grease and line 13x17-inch (30x40 cm) jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

3. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

4. In a bowl of an electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment, on medium speed, beat butter and sugar together until light in colour, 3 to 4 minutes, scraping bowl down periodically. Slowly add eggs in a 4 additions, beating well after each addition.

5. Reduce speed, and alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour. Beat in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.

6. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake, rotating pan after 10 minutes ensure even browning. Bake an additional 10 to15 minutes, or until cake is golden in colour and springs back lightly when touched.

7. Transfer cake to a wire rack to cool. Once cool to the touch turn out cake and remove parchment paper. Cool completely. Cut into 15 equal squares. Cut each in half horizontally.

8. While cake is baking, place berries in a bowl; sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice. Let stand until juices are released.

Whipped Cream Filling

1. Place chilled cream in a metal bowl and whip until soft peaks form. Add vanilla extract and chill.

To Assemble

1. Place a bottom half of one piece of cake on each dessert plate; Divide berries and liquid evenly,

top with a dollop each of the lemon curd and whipping cream; top with a final piece of cake.

Garnish with mint sprigs, and a sprinkle of icing sugar.

Resep Sederhana Strawberry Shortcake

Bahan :
150 g tepung terigu
20 g gula pasir
5 g baking powder
10 g cream of tartar
100 g mentega tawar beku
75 ml krim segar
1 butir telur ayam,kocok lepas
200 g strawberry organik segar, bersihkan, belah-belah
15 g gula putih
Krim kocok/whipped cream

Cara membuat:
* Panaskan oven pada suhu 175 C.
* Campur tepung terigu, gula, baking powder, cream of tartar dan mentega.
* Potong-potong dengan 2 buah pisau hingga mentega dan tepung menjadi butiran-butiran kecil.
* Campur telur dank rim, aduk rata. Tuang ke dalam campuran terigu, aduk rata.
* Simpan adonan selama 30 menit dalam lemari es.
* Uleni adonan sebentar lalu gilas hingga setebal 1 cm.Potong menjadi 5 bagian.
* Taruh di atas loyang. Panggang dalam oven selama 20 menit.
* Angkat, dinginkan.
* Aduk strawberry dengan gula hingga rata.
* Belah cake menjadi dua, beri whipped cream dan hiasi dengan strawberry.

Untuk 10 potong
